To kick off Boss Babes, Season Two, it’s my pleasure to introduce a kickass business-woman, Trinity French! She’s an owner and broker associate at EXIT Ascent Realty in Evergreen, CO.

Below, you’ll learn more about what Trinity specializes in, what gets her fired up about in business, and her thoughts on career success. She’s an inspiration, and a Boss Babe, for sure!

Trinity, take it away! Tell us a little more about your career path and who you serve.

My name is Trinity French. I’m currently licensed in 4 states, with 3 more states in the works. I’m the owner of EXIT Ascent Realty in Evergreen, CO, a REALTOR with EXIT Team Realty in Atlanta, GA, a REALTOR with EXIT Bayshore Realty, Tampa, FL, and a REALTOR with EXIT Realty Elite Properties in Concord, NC.

I’ve been in the housing industry for over 13 years, including several years as the majority shareholder in a construction company. My company specialized in the repair of Real Estate Owned (REO) properties. REOs are reclaimed properties by the bank or government agency that financed the mortgage after failing to sell at a real estate auction.

Some typical REO property issues include damaged walls, missing fixtures or appliances, and faulty mechanical components. A former property owner’s unwilling and unhappy departure, coupled with a long period of vacancy, is a recipe for property damage. That’s where we come in!

My company made any necessary repairs and renovations to make the house ready to sell, with fast turnaround times of two weeks or less. From my background you can see that I know houses! I pride myself on good communication skills and over-the-top customer service.

It sounds like your business is really thriving! What inspired you to start your real estate brokerage?

I wanted to change the game. This industry is very cutthroat and very sink-or-swim. I wanted to provide a safe space for fellow Brokers to learn and grow.

I love that you’re changing the game. We need movers and shakers! What’s your favorite thing about your line of work?

I consider myself a matchmaker! I get to help people find their dream homes, which is usually the largest purchase they’ll make. I’m honored to be a part of that process with my clients.

What’s been the most important lesson you’ve learned as an entrepreneur so far?

Entrepreneurship is a 24/7, 365-day-a-year job with no days off. So it’s important to schedule “YOU” time. Like when you’re on an airplane, and you’re instructed to put oxygen on yourself first before helping others. I feel that’s been an important lesson I’ve had to learn in business – to give myself oxygen, so I’m able to help others better. For me, that looks like scheduling days off for myself.

What advice would you give someone just entering the realty field as a newbie?

Be yourself, and don’t try to fit in “the box.” Make “the box” fit you!

I love to wrap up these interviews with a favorite quote. Do you have a favorite success or career quote that resonates with you?

“If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, then you are an excellent leader.” – Dolly Parton
