What do you do Sofia?

I help people fulfill their dreams of homeownership, to realize the full potential in their home and make it shine, to see the artistry in a home, the soul, and all while having fun along the way.

What led you to your current profession?

I worked in Information Technology for over 10 years then one day realized there had to be something more fulfilling in life. I started learning about investing in real estate and creating passive income which led to me getting my real estate license and buying rentals and expanded to wanting to help others achieve their dreams of home ownership and beyond.

What’s your superpower?

Connecting people and cooking! I love to introduce people to each other and I love to cook – after all the kitchen is the heart of the home and brings people together. I love helping my community. I actually cooked meals for people during covid and would drop it off to them and hosted many patio dinners in my back yard which I renovated last spring to be able to do that.

What’s your favorite thing about what you do?

I love helping people achieve dreams, whether buying their first home, investing in their first rental, or selling their home to buy an RV to travel the country.

How have your perceptions of life changed as you got older?

It’s never too late to pursue your passions and dreams. I turn 50 this year and want to do 50 things I’ve never done before. They might be simple like going somewhere I have never been before or trying something new. One of my new dreams is to publish a book of poems.

If you have a bucket list, what’s your favorite thing you’ve checked off?

I have been to over 30 countries and have a goal to do all 50 states… I have 13 left to do. One thing was kayaking in a glass-bottom boat in a bioluminescent bay in Puerto Rico. I’m not an outdoorsy gal so was terrified but did it and it was amazing.

How would you like people to describe you or see you?

Inspirational! I love to inspire folks whether it’s to travel somewhere new, try a new recipe, remodel their house, get healthy, or to do something that brings them joy and passion.

What has been your greatest achievement professionally?

Going from a corporate job to an entrepreneur is a challenge and I’m proud that I have created a thriving career that I enjoy.

What is your favorite trait about yourself?

I’m pretty creative in many different ways, and I like to figure out how to make the best of any situation.

Do you have any exciting ambitions for the future?

Visit all 50 states, publish a book, be published in a magazine, empower women to pursue their passions.

What advice do you have for those starting a new business?

While it’s good to go for it and follow your heart, it’s always good to do some research, talk to people who have done what you want to do, create a business plan and then work it!

Do you have a favorite quote?

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” -Eleanor Roosevelt
