Tell us about your business and what you offer.

Core3 Drywall is a locally owned small business that specializes in drywall repairs, basement and garage drywall finishes, remodels, additions, and more. If it needs drywall, we can help! C3 strongly believes in supporting veterans in our community, and a percentage of all the business we do goes right back into our community to help these amazing men and women. From small repairs to full houses, texture matching & more, we will take on any project, big or small!

Women in the construction industry are rare. What inspired you to start this business?

I began my career in construction as a general contractor years ago. Dealing with individual trades was extremely frustrating because people were unreliable, never follow through with what they told you they would do, and their quality of work was subpar. Seeing this, drywall was one of the most difficult trades to deal with. I took that as a challenge, and wanted to build the best drywall team I could.

I have spent years putting together a team of highly qualified, professional individuals who have decades of experience in their individual area of drywall. My hope is to break the stereotype of unreliable and dishonest contractors by delivering on our promises, maintaining integrity and respect for our customers no matter what, and treating each project as if it were our own home.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned as an entrepreneur?

The most important lesson I have learned throughout my years as an entrepreneur is to always do the right thing, even when nobody is looking. There will always be opportunities to cut corners to make an extra buck, but at the end of the day staying true to yourself and doing the right thing, even when it costs you money, is always the best choice.

How do you differentiate your business from others offering a similar service?

A few of the key elements that set us apart from other competitors in our field is our attention to detail, exceptional communication, and our guarantee of high-quality professional work. We warranty everything we do, and we make sure to deliver on all of the promises we make to our customers.

How do you measure success in your business?

Many people measure success in monetary terms. But I like to look at my measure of success a bit differently. The number of employees this business supports. The countless number of customers and homeowners we are able to help. The impact we are able to have with veterans in our community. Success to me is quantified by those numbers, not necessarily the numbers on our profit and loss statements.

What is your vision for the future of your business?

My vision for Core3 Drywall has always been a path of responsible growth. By focusing on what we are good at, we are able to help so many people. Naturally, when you serve people well, you end up with a growing business. Building my team with like-minded, focused individuals who display strong character, respect and integrity will always be top priority.
