What do you do Teresa?

I often joke that I am CEO of Doing the Most Things. I don’t really assign myself a title, as a rule. I own 3 businesses. I am currently growing Samsara Life Transformations, and transitioning/re-building Wandering Soul & Holey Rapture from brick and mortar stores that I had in Florida to online businesses here in Colorado.

What led you to your current profession?

I realized I was living a stagnant existence and decided that it was time to re-invent myself in my own image, not that which was being imposed on me.

What’s your superpower?

I take that which “should” damage me (or limit me), and spin it into something to advance me.

When in your life have you felt most confident and why?

At 42, when I left my husband and embarked on my solo path through life. For the first time in my life, I was doing something simply because it pleased me and felt good for my life. As a mother, wife, and business owner with employees dependent upon me to make solid business decision, I often sacrificed my wants and desires for the greater good of everyone else. One day, I simply decided I was done sacrificing.

Do you have any exciting ambitions for the future?

Always. I am in the final editing phase, and about to begin publishing my first book. I am also planning retreats and workshops based on material that I have developed myself, through my life experiences.

What advice do you have for those starting a new business?

Every minute and every dollar you invest in your business is an investment in yourself. You are investing in your vision, your dream, and your faith in your ability to do whatever it is you are doing. Never make it about something material.

What lessons did you learn from the challenges created from the pandemic?

I learned that letting go is easier, and often more conducive to positive change, than holding on. Nothing lasts forever. That the only limitations are the ones I impose on myself. I am most definitely a whole person and cannot be defined solely by the work that I do.

What’s your favorite career quote?

“I’m not here to make a killing, I’m here to make a difference” –T.L. Dunnam (That would be me. I make an effort to be my own source of inspiration, so as not to become reliant on outside influence.)

Teresa Dunnam is a Life Transformation Facilitator and Certified Firewalk Instructor at Samsara Life Transformations. She works with clients using actionable steps that result in real and meaningful life changes.
