So Erin, what led you to your current profession?

I was introduced to the real estate world very young. My dad is a very successful high-end home builder and I grew up around new construction while working in his business. I later decided to pursue the sales side of real estate and help people find their dream home.

What’s your superpower?

I’m known for my empathy and deep listening. In fact, I’ve worked with clients that have boyfriends and best friends that are real estate agents, but they still chose to work with me because I listened to what they wanted instead of pushing what I think they need.

What has been your biggest obstacle in business? What helped you overcome those obstacles?

My biggest hurdle in business was relocating from Kansas where I had an extensive book of business and a large network, to Colorado where I was starting from scratch and knew no one. The thought of moving to an area with 40,000 competing agents was daunting. I had to believe in myself to make that leap. But I’m all about relationships and leaned into that.

What is a piece of advice you’d give your 20-something self?

I would tell myself to get into real estate right after high school instead of waiting till after I had kids and they were a certain age. That is one thing that I’ve always kicked myself for, waiting to pursue my dreams and passions. If you have a dream, you absolutely should go after it. Never put your dreams on hold.

What advice would you give to yourself when you were a young mother?

No matter how busy you are, always take a moment to listen to your kids. Take that extra five minutes and get off your phone or step away from what you’re doing to be there for them and support them. Being heard is a powerful thing.

What’s your favorite part of what you do for clients?

Being supportive and listening. Figuring out the details, overcoming obstacles, and giving them their dream house.

I am curious what has been your greatest achievement professionally? What are you proud about?

I’m proud that I had a thriving real estate career for many years in Kansas and even prouder that I was able to recreate that here in Colorado.

What gets you up in the morning?

It’s my why. And my why is my family and helping people. I want to be an example to my daughters, to never give up and know that anyone can be successful if they put their mind to it. And that you don’t need someone else supporting you. You can do it on your own, and you can grow a great business that you love. Being a happy mother that loves her job is a gift for my children.

Do you have a favorite career quote?
