What led you to your current profession?

My family legacy of chiropractic dates back to 1921, which makes me a 5th generation chiropractor! My Dad is a chiropractor and he would tell me about how each time he saw his patients, their lives were changing because their health improved. It was truly an incredible inspiration into a world of preventative health–one that I felt compelled to be a part of. I know becoming a doctor was going to have its challenges, but I knew it’s the only thing I would TRULY be excited about for the rest of my life. I get to see people smile bigger, sleep better, stand up straighter and more confident, get out of their rut and feel like themselves again, it’s truly the best feeling to be a part of their lives in such an incredible way. Chiropractic is the love of my life! I truly believe the best is yet to come and that excites me every day.

What’s your superpower?

Once people get to know me, they feel very comfortable opening up and being themselves. My office is so much more than a doctor’s office. It’s a no-judgment zone. We’ve created a friendly and relaxing space where you can work through your life’s demands, talk about your goals or challenges and leave uplifted, standing taller, feeling lighter and brighter. Yes, I’m a doctor, but I’m your cheerleader and confidante too.

What is one piece of advice you’d give your pre-career 20 something self?

Everyone deserves to dream big and turn their dream into a reality. So many people go through the grind and don’t take the time to dream or don’t believe they deserve to rethink their passions, strengths, and joys and then build a life based on that. You DESERVE IT! Don’t overthink any big idea. Go straight to the “what” and figure out the “why” next. It’s not an easy path, but you’ll find the adventure is worth it every single day. For me, building a life I love means constantly editing my life and my goals to fit my personal and family needs and wants because they’re always changing.

Are there any myths you’d like to bust about your profession?

You may believe that you don’t “need” to be adjusted because you aren’t living in pain. The truth is, we are SO much more than doctors who fix back and neck pain. Chiropractic addresses so much more in your body than you may even realize! I will explain to you how you can feel EVEN BETTER with chiropractic care, give you tips to better handle stress and life’s demands, teach you how to take care of you and your family so you can enjoy this beautiful state of Colorado! Results WILL happen, there’s no telling how vast your changes can be…

What have you learned about leadership that doesn’t get taught in schools?

There’s always a million reasons not to do something, but there’s 10 million reasons why you should. By following your destiny, you’ll bring something into the world that will change the lives of those around you and the impact you have will continue to spread. That, is leadership.

I like to end every Boss Babe interview with a favorite quote. What is yours?
