A professional branding session encompasses more than your typical headshot because they show more of the body. They often include props to tell the story about what you do in business.

What to Look for in a Professional and Branding Photographer

Your photographer must understand body language to pull off a branding shoot that looks comfortable and professional. I have plenty of first-hand experience in reading body language!

The goal in any branding session is to begin nurturing your audience and build the know, like, and trust factor. The best way to accomplish this is by making you look approachable, friendly, and authoritative. That’s where my expertise comes in!

I understand body language, posing, and can help you feel comfortable enough to showcase your personality! I will photograph you in various styles, settings, and expressions, so you have plenty of photos to use in your digital marketing.

You want to look professional and authoritative – I can do that!

You want to have a few shots that make you look more casual and approachable – I can do that too!

Men Don’t Always Hate Having Photos Taken

Here’s a common misconception I’ve heard – Men hate being photographed.

I’m here to reassure you that this isn’t always the case.

Showing up for family photos may not be the most exciting thing for a man. But showing up for their professional headshot or branding session is entirely different!

If you don’t feel like you’re photogenic, know that I make the process easy and comfortable! We get to know each other before your session through the planning process. So when you show up for your headshot or branding session, it feels like you’re working with an old friend.

I love photographing men’s professional headshots and branding sessions because (men, you should be proud of this one!) you all take direction so well!

You’re always willing to try out my suggestions, no matter how crazy! It’s a fun collaboration!

Wardrobe Selection for Men’s Professional Headshots

Most questions from men when scheduling their professional headshots are about wardrobe.

I want to help ease your mind about this.

Every branding session includes an in-home wardrobe consultation. It couldn’t be easier for you! I come to your home and help you choose wardrobe pieces that will photograph well and give you variety.

If you feel like you need extra help with selecting clothes for your session, here are some of my top tips. You can’t go wrong with the classics! I also love a man in a well-fitted suit.

Another thing to keep in mind is your location. For example, Denver-metro is a more casual region for workwear. So that could be something you’d like reflected in your headshots.

However, suits still have their place, even in Broomfield. So I encourage you to bring a suit or two, jeans and a button-up that looks great with the sleeves rolled up, or a dress shirt with a sweater on top.

Have assets to show off? Jeans and a well-fitted t-shirt are a great addition to the shoot.

Do you have a lady in your life you want to make feel extra special?

I have some guaranteed brownie points for you!

Have your better half arrive at the end of your branding session for some couple’s portraits!! Not only will she cherish them (and the memory) forever, but it would make the perfect intro for a date night after your session!

Who Needs a Professional Branding Session?

Well, all this sounds great, but who needs a branding session? So glad you asked!

Anyone in a professional setting is a perfect candidate for headshots. Service-based businesses like contractors, personal trainers, or anyone in a sales position.

Hoping to advance yourself in your field? Updated headshots are the perfect segway!

If you’re the face of your business, making you responsible for acquiring your clients, updated headshots convey a sense of authority and professionalism!

There’s one last category that is SO FUN, that you probably haven’t considered! Branding sessions are perfect for anyone that wants compelling dating photos to catch the eye of selective women! I’m here to make the everyday man look and feel like a GQ model.

Ready to schedule your men’s professional headshot or branding session? Perfect! Start here to have a free consultation with me, and we’ll chat about what you have in mind!
