If you choose to opt-out of professional makeup services for your portrait session, my post-production digital makeup can add those final tweaks that will take your portraits from great to amazing. All you need to do is wear your usual makeup routine and I'll enhance what you've already got.
First, start with a good base.
(1). WAX Have your eyebrows professionally waxed or threaded ahead of time. And yes, this is good to do even for men. Defined eyebrows enhance your eyes and add structure to your face. Having professionally shaped eyebrows ensures that they are symmetrical and for the ladies, gives you the correct shape for filling in with your eyebrow pencil.
(2). HYDRATE Treat your skin right and hydrate it by drinking plenty of water in the 48 hours prior to your photo session. Set yourself reminders throughout the day to ensure you get your water in.
(3). EXFOLIATE Give yourself dewy radiant skin with a gentle face exfoliation in the shower the morning of your shoot.
If you normally wear makeup, wear a little bit more for your photo shoot. Any makeup you wear will appear a bit lighter as studio lights will wash out your makeup. False eyelashes will make your eyes big and beautiful. If you're experienced at applying falsies, go for it! Faux or real mink lashes are my favorite.
If you normally don't wear any makeup and want to keep it that way, then wear lip balm or clear lip gloss and anti-shine face powder.
