So Angie, tell me what in the world is reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese relaxation technique that uses light touch and guided energy to promote healing of the mind, body and spirit. Sessions release energetic blocks to allow you to heal through deep relaxation.

What led you to your current profession?

I started having reiki sessions after multiple surgeries and multiple deaths in my family. As I began to release the pain, I found inner peace and healing through this practice. It was a very natural path to start my own practice to help others heal also.

What’s your superpower?

My superpower is giving kids reiki! Kids love reiki and it calms them down, helps with sleep, and gives them tools to use when anything stressful comes up.

What’s your favorite thing about what you do?

I have a passion for helping people feel better. Once they open to their own healing, my reward is watching the transformation unfold.

Are there any myths you’d like to bust about your profession?

Reiki is not a religion, nor does it go against any religions. It is all-encompassing and for everyone!

What advice do you have for those starting a new business?

Trust the process, set daily goals related to your vision.

What’s been the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Believe in yourself and trust.

What’s your favorite success/aspirational quote?

“Know what sparks the light in you. Then use that light to illuminate the world.” –Oprah Winfrey
