HEALING CATALYST & SPIRITUAL GUIDE
What is the nature of your work?
I help busy mid-life women reconnect, release, and restore. I help them reconnect to their heart and prioritize their wellness so they can reclaim their energy and be an even better mom, friend and partner. I help them identify underlying sources of stress that may be draining their energy so they can make the necessary adjustments. We also explore a variety of simple practices and techniques to help them respond more effectively to life's stressors.
In the past, what have been your biggest obstacles in business? What helped you overcome those obstacles?
My biggest challenges and obstacles have been mostly internal - specifically letting my fear and self-doubt get in the way of fully pursuing my dreams and doing everything I wanted to do in my business. I have spent a lot of time focusing on my own personal and spiritual self-development, doing the inner work I needed to do to heal the underlying sources of fear, and to release limiting self-beliefs and self-doubt. This involved a lot of personal observation and self-reflection and changing ways of thinking and behavior patterns.
What is one piece of advice you'd give your pre-career 20-something self?
You will be passionate about your work - and that's great. Just don't forget to enjoy life, too. Discover your passions and interests outside of work, make time for fun and play, and focus on your relationships too. Don't neglect yourself or your loved ones for your work.
How would you describe yourself?
Many people say that I am warm and welcoming; that I create a safe space for them to be themselves and to share freely what's on their mind or in their heart. I cherish these comments so much, because I didn't used to be so open. When I receive this kind of feedback now, it's a true testament to all the personal self-development I've done.
What's your favorite quote?
"Love begins at home." --Mother Teresa
What advice would you give to yourself when you were a young working mother?
Know what's REALLY important, and focus most of your time and energy on those priorities. Your daughter will grow up fast and sustaining your relationship with her is important. But also, don't neglect yourself or your needs. When you allow yourself to become depleted, then you can't be at your best - for her, for your friends, or for YOURSELF.
When in your life have you felt most confident and why?
I did a boudoir session in 2020. Seeing myself in the photos brought tears to my eyes. They reflected every aspect of my personality - playful, reflective, strong, confident, and sensitive. Boudoir was a gift to myself after healing some long-standing challenges relating to self-love and body image. I did the work to learn to love myself and my body - as it is - and wanted to honor myself and the work I had done. Looking at those photos now I see a strong, confident woman.
