The Wild Journey of an Entrepreneur: Lessons in Courage, Integrity, and Impact

You’ve had many successful entrepreneurial ventures over the years. What early childhood interests hinted at the entrepreneur you would eventually become?

Growing up, I always dreamed of becoming a successful entrepreneur. I was constantly coming up with new ideas and “starting” little businesses. When I was 12, I even asked Santa for a desk so I could have my own workspace to develop my ventures.

That early curiosity and drive never really left. Over time, that childhood dream has evolved into a deeper commitment to innovation and creating businesses that make a positive impact.

What mindset helps you push through difficult moments in your career?

I’ve learned to recognize that difficult seasons—what I like to call “the suck”—are simply part of the journey. Growth isn’t linear, and challenges are inevitable.

When you accept that tough moments will come, they don’t catch you off guard in the same way. That awareness allows you to prepare mentally and emotionally and reminds you that it’s okay to go through hard seasons while still moving forward.

If you could go back to the beginning, what’s something you would do differently in your entrepreneurship journey?

Honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing.

There have definitely been business decisions that didn’t work out the way I hoped, but every single one of them taught me something valuable. While it would be incredible to start over with the knowledge I have now, the truth is I’ve loved the wild ride that got me here.

Is there a quote or mantra that speaks to your soul and fuels your motivation?

One quote that really resonates with me is, “Fortune favors the bold.” It’s a constant reminder to be courageous and take calculated risks.

I also love Nike’s “Just Do It.” Sometimes the biggest thing holding us back is hesitation. If you have a dream—make the call, create the LLC, buy the property. Take the leap and go for it.

How do integrity and accountability shape the way you lead?

I’ve come to believe that influence without integrity is just empty noise.

Real leadership means owning your decisions, standing by your values, and recognizing that your actions matter—even when no one is watching. Impact isn’t accidental. It comes from intentionally showing up with integrity and purpose.

What’s a habit that supports your laser focus?

One of the most important habits I practice is limiting negative influences. That includes being intentional about the media I consume and the people I surround myself with.

When you fill your environment with positive, supportive voices and content, it reinforces a healthier mindset and helps you stay focused on what truly matters.
