You are a professional singer and speaker. Tell us about the successes that you’re most proud of.

One of my greatest successes has been fully integrating my love for music and performance into my coaching business. For years, I kept these passions separate, thinking they had nothing to do with helping women grow their businesses. But the moment I embraced my identity as a singer, speaker, and business mentor, everything changed.

I created The X-Factor Formula, a framework that helps women unlock their confidence, own their presence, and shine in their business like true performers. I’ve landed a TEDx speaking opportunity, grown my coaching business to six figures, and even started booking keynote concerts where I blend speaking and live music to inspire audiences.

Another huge achievement has been expanding my career as a performer—I’ve been invited to sing the National Anthem at large sporting events, perform at festivals, and book more live gigs. Stepping onto bigger stages has not only fulfilled a lifelong dream but also solidified my belief that performance skills are key to success in business and life.

Beyond personal milestones, my biggest success is seeing my clients step into their spotlight—whether that’s launching their business, confidently showing up on camera, or commanding a stage. Helping women own their presence and impact the world in a bigger way is what I’m most proud of.

Marta Spirk on the cover of Boss Babes MagazineWhere were you in life when you decided to start your business?

Before having kids, my career was centered around languages—I started teaching English in Brazil when I was just 14 and later became a translator and interpreter. Teaching and communication were always a big part of my life, and I loved helping others express themselves. But after having my triplets, I found myself searching for a new way to make an impact while balancing motherhood.

When I started my business, my initial focus was mentorship and empowerment for women, as it felt like a natural extension of my teaching background. Over time, I realized that what truly lit me up was helping women find their voice, step into the spotlight, and increase their visibility—whether through speaking, social media, or performance. That’s when I knew I had found my true calling.

I wasn’t just building a business for myself; I was creating a path for other women to step into their power. And most importantly, I was setting an example for my kids—showing them that they can face challenges, follow their passions, and create a life they love.

What was the biggest sacrifice you had to make when starting your business?

When I started my business, the biggest sacrifice was time and certainty. As a mom of triplets, I had to balance motherhood with building something from the ground up—without any guarantees. I sacrificed sleep, personal time, and even moments with my family to invest in my vision.

Beyond growing my business, I was also doing this to be a role model for my kids—showing them firsthand what it means to face challenges, push past fear, and pursue their dreams. I want them to see that success comes from stepping outside their comfort zone and believing in themselves. By challenging myself, I’m preparing to support and encourage them as they navigate their own paths. Now, I get to help other women build confidence and visibility, proving that the sacrifices were truly investments in a bigger purpose.

In moments of self-doubt or adversity, how do you build yourself back up?

Self-doubt and adversity are inevitable, but I’ve learned that the key to overcoming them is reconnecting with my “why”—the deeper reason behind what I do. When I face challenges, I remind myself of the women I’ve helped step into their confidence, the stages I’ve stood on despite the fear, and the example I’m setting for my kids.

I also turn to performance techniques—whether it’s using my voice, movement, or mindset shifts, I treat life like a stage. Just like in music and public speaking, energy and presence can change everything. I play a song that lifts my spirit, revisit my own words of encouragement, and remind myself that every great performer, speaker, and leader has faced doubt but kept showing up anyway. That’s what I help my clients do—own their presence, step into the spotlight, and rewrite their inner dialogue from fear to confidence.

What does the world need more of? Less of?

The world needs more people embracing their uniqueness and stepping into their confidence. Too many people hold themselves back, afraid of judgment or failure, when in reality, their voice and presence could make a powerful impact. When we fully express ourselves—whether through speaking, performing, or showing up boldly in business—we inspire others to do the same.

At the same time, the world needs less self-doubt and comparison. Social media and societal pressures often make people feel like they’re not enough or that they have to fit a certain mold to be successful. But true success comes from owning your story, your strengths, and your individuality rather than trying to blend in.

If more people felt empowered to show up as their authentic selves, we’d see a world with more passion, creativity, and connection. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping women entrepreneurs break free from fear and step confidently into the spotlight—because when they do, they create a ripple effect of empowerment.

What resources would you recommend to someone starting a business or career in a similar field?

The best resources I recommend are mentorship, performance training, and personal development tools. A coach or mentor who understands visibility and branding is essential to growing your business. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the guidance of those ahead of me in my field.

To succeed in a business that’s centered around your personal brand, it’s crucial to develop confidence and learn to own your presence. I highly recommend programs like The X-Factor Formula, which helps business owners captivate their audiences and show up with authority.

Also, visibility is key—whether through speaking engagements, social media, podcasts, or networking. Building your presence consistently and learning to step into the spotlight will be your biggest asset on the road to success.
