WIFE, MOTHER & POWER PLANT DESIGNER
A common theme among the Boss Babes in the project is that they all had to overcome something big to realize the woman they were meant to be. Can you share your story?
Many new parents have ideas about what life will be like when they have children, when they will hit milestones, and the joys they'll see every day. My story of being a mom was so much more of accepting that things happen and discovering how I can work through the challenges that my family was faced with. I made changes in my career path to make sure that family came first. This journey hasn’t been easy for us but I think it really has shaped me into the person I want to become and where I am planning on going.
What is the one piece of advice would you give your 20 something self?
Always follow your dreams, you are a strong powerful woman that accomplishes so much if you believe in yourself.
If you had a bucket list, what’s your favorite thing you’ve checked off?
Traveling to a remote island with the most beautiful beaches in the world. Walking on this amazing sand barge in the middle of the ocean.
What are your ambitions for the future?
I am looking at going back to school to get a master’s in counseling. My dream is to help families and parents that struggle with the unknowns and curveballs in life.
What’s your superpower?
Connecting to people.
Successful women seem to have a common thread and that's using their powers for good and being involved in a non-profit that has meaning for them. What are your favorites?
I am involved in a few organizations The Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado and Children’s Hospital of Colorado.
What’s a favorite quote that you always find yourself going back to?
"Accept what is, let go of what was, and have faith in what will be." —Sonia Ricotti
