What does success mean to you?
To me, success encapsulates the freedom to design my life according to my values and aspirations. It means having the autonomy to prioritize family moments, such as being present for my son's milestones and sharing enriching experiences through travel with my husband. Alongside this, a fulfilling career is integral to my definition of success, where I can channel my passion and expertise as an entrepreneur into projects that not only challenge me but also create meaningful impacts in the lives of others.
As an entrepreneur, success extends beyond personal fulfillment; it's about pushing the boundaries of what's possible and leaving a positive imprint on the world. Each project is an opportunity to explore the limits of innovation and entrepreneurship, striving to reach new heights and touch as many lives as possible with the solutions and experiences we create. Ultimately, success is a dynamic journey of growth, impact, and fulfillment, where every achievement fuels the drive to reach for even greater heights.
Name the biggest lesson you’ve learned in running a business.
One of the most profound lessons I've gained from running a business is the unwavering commitment required to navigate its challenges. As an entrepreneur, I've experienced a spectrum of emotions, from exhilaration to moments of doubt, yet what sets successful ventures apart is the determination to persevere through adversity. This resilience, often referred to as 'grit,' is the driving force that propels businesses forward, even in the face of daunting obstacles.
Additionally, a pivotal lesson I've learned is the profound responsibility of leadership in fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Business success isn't just about individual accomplishments; it's about lifting others along the journey. Building a strong community within and around the business is instrumental not only in weathering storms but also in creating a culture of shared success. As a leader, recognizing the importance of mentorship and empowering others to grow and thrive alongside you is integral to sustainable and impactful business practices.
Ultimately, running a business isn't just about reaching the pinnacle of success; it's about cultivating a resilient mindset, fostering a supportive community, and embracing the journey of continuous learning and growth.
What is your personal or professional motto?
My personal and professional motto is centered around embracing challenges and taking bold risks to achieve greatness. I firmly believe that to accomplish significant feats in life and business, one must be willing to step out of their comfort zone and tackle ambitious endeavors. It's through these daring actions that we unlock new opportunities, innovation, and growth. Embracing big and bold risks is not just a mantra; it's a philosophy that drives me to constantly push boundaries and strive for excellence in every endeavor.
What’s the first thing you do every morning to start your day off on the right foot?
The first thing I prioritize every morning is a moment of reflection and spiritual grounding. My faith is a cornerstone of my identity, and I start each day with prayer, meditation on scripture, and a focus on gratitude. This dedicated time allows me to center myself, realign my priorities, and approach the day with clarity and purpose.
What’s your favorite thing to come home to after a long day at work?
After a long day at work, my favorite thing to come home to is the warmth and love of my family. My husband and son are not just my support system; they are my inspiration and motivation. Their unwavering love and encouragement fuel my drive to push boundaries and achieve greater heights. Together, we form a close-knit unit that brings me immense joy, comfort, and fulfillment in life. They remind me of what truly matters and make every day a celebration of love, growth, and cherished moments.
If you could share one career tip with your younger self, what would it be?
If I could share one career tip with my younger self, it would be to embrace failure as a learning opportunity rather than a setback. Early in my career, I was often afraid of making mistakes or taking risks that might not pan out perfectly. However, I've come to realize that failure is a natural part of growth and innovation. It's through failures that we learn valuable lessons, develop resilience, and ultimately, achieve greater success. So, my advice to my younger self would be to not let the fear of failure hold me back, but instead, to embrace it as a stepping stone towards personal and professional growth.
